Baseball season is in the air
There is a particular joy
The mere thought – fantasy
Of sitting in the bleachers
Watching you play ball
Hearing all the sounds and chatter
That are sparked by a sense
Of our new normal – post vaccine
Music floats, an upbeat vibration
Laughter is a welcomed bounce
Like children high on fresh air
We are full of anticipation and hope
Love is holding a sacred space for us
To share our delight and enthusiasm
To fully know what it is to be in love
Batter batter up babe!
