Long stemmed roses,
Beautiful pale pink roses
First breath of spring
Half a dozen yellow Tulips
Holding hands with
Midnight Calla Lilies
While they dance
With purple Hydrangeas;

You kiss me and whisper,
“Remember our first dance down the avenue?”

As they compliment
the pink Peony
Melting into all
The shades of Ranunculus
The range so varied
It takes my breath away – as you do
And in the middle of all
The glorious blossoms
A crown worn by royalty
in bloom Orange Blossom
The symbol of eternal love
