Like a dream that comes and goes
Ultimately forgotten as dawn breaks
A grandiose sunrise interrupts
Our peaceful reverie
We smile at each other
Over our love potion
– a cup of Joe
You touch my cheek;
Whisper lovingly
You have never seen
Any thing as beautiful
As my tousled hair,
My face in the morning light
And all can I think
Is how wonderful it has been
– to just “be” with you
I remind you beauty is
In the eye of the beholder
You assure me you know what beauty is
– and as I blush you kiss me
Put my hand on your chest and nod
…hand to heart love

We both know what we know and grateful at all we have yet to discover
