My love of sea and sail
vast sky ocean wide
Yet I fear a full moon
cycle tide high rise
Tide falls low sand bar
run aground
Claustrophobic angst contradicts
the obvious
Looking out beyond the beyond
no land insight
And I feel small minuscule
the context of the endlessness
that is before me
I am truly not relevant within
the sanctity of humanity
As the wind blows the bow moves
toward the horizon
You can’t come about
when your sails are not full
And your heart is frozen in time
and secrets loom
Where do you come from, what is your father’s name
Shifting sites Captain’s way answers shouted
across the bay
I still wonder what I knew
and chose to conceal
Panama sunrise turned my life around.
